The relationship between group sports and mental health and the formation of the personality of prisoners during the covid-19 disease

Abstract

Objective
The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between group sports and mental health and the formation of personality traits of prisoners during the period of the Covid-19 disease.
Research method
The present study was non-experimental of descriptive-applied type and the statistical population in this study included all the criminals of Lahijan city in 2022 including 298 people who were selected by available sampling and according to Morgan's table, the sample size was reported as 168 people.
In this research, from Neo personality questionnaires, mental health and Ghaffari group sports questionnaires (2012) as research tools and in order to determine the variable power of group sports to predict the mental health of prisoners, using the regression method to analyze the data using SPSS software. 22 and Smart PLS version 3 were used. The significance level was considered 0.05 in all tests.
The findings
The findings showed that group exercise has a significant direct relationship with the mental health and personality formation of prisoners during the covid-19 disease and has improved the mental health and personality formation of prisoners.
